Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, was 18 years old when she became pregnant with her son. Mallette, who worked a series of low-paying office jobs, raised Justin Bieber as a single mother in low-income housing. However, Justin Bieber maintains contact with his father, Jeremy Bieber, who married another woman and had two children.
Justin Bieber’s paternal great-grandfather was a German immigrant to Canada.
During his childhood, Justin Bieber was interested in hockey, soccer, and chess; he often kept his musical aspirations to himself. As he grew, Bieber taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet.
With the help of his mother, Bieber then started to post videos on YouTube of his own covers of songs by artists such as Chris Brown, Usher, Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder. These videos were seen by the record company executive Scooter Braun, who flew Bieber to Atlanta to meet and perform in front of Usher. Eventually, he was signed to Island Records. Bieber moved to Atlanta with his mother, so that Justin could work more closely with Usher and Braun.
however, and met with the record producer. He introduced the couple to Usher, his business partner, and signed Bieber, then just thirteen years old, to the new RBMG media company. Bieber’s first album, My World, was released via Braun’s label when the young singer was just fifteen years old.
“My World” was released across United States on November 17. The album was preceded with four hit singles “One Time”, “One Less Lonely Girl”, “Love Me” and “Favorite Girl”, all of which cracked Top 15 of Canadian Singles chart and reached Top 40 of Billboard Hot 100. This achievement made him the only artist in Billboard history who has four singles from a debut album charting in the Top 40 of the Hot 100 before the album’s release.
Bieber released his first single, “One Time,” in May 2009. Supported by a popular video that featured an appearance by Usher, “One Time” went platinum in both Canada and America, a feat that was replicated later that year with the release of My World. The disc was technically an EP, featuring only seven songs, but it reached number six on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold over a million copies. Less than a year after his debut, Bieber returned with the “second half” of My World, a ten-song release titled My World 2.0. Further demonstrating his and his management’s marketing power, over 8,000 fans who pre-ordered My World 2.0 had their head shots used in a photo mosaic (formed to look like a portrait of Bieber) that was displayed on the back side of the disc’s booklet. The release topped the Billboard 200. A few weeks later, a combination of My World and My World 2.0, titled My Worlds, appeared in some territories.
By the end of 2010, Bieber issued My Worlds Acoustic, a set featuring acoustic versions of nine songs off the My World discs, as well as one new song. The following February, the 3-D documentary Never Say Never was released to theaters. The seven-track Never Say Never: The Remixes, released just days after the film, maintained the flow of Bieber product, and featured appearances from the likes of Kanye West, Usher, and Miley Cyrus. Just in time for Christmas 2011 came the holiday-themed Under the Mistletoe, complete with several celebrity guest duets and an original song, “Mistletoe,” for the first single, which entered the Holiday Songs chart at number two.
In 2012, Bieber returned with the proper follow-up to My World 2.0, titled Believe. With a sound based in dance and R&B, it featured production from Darkchild, Diplo, and Max Martin. Believe became his fourth number one album, paced by Top Ten hits for “Boyfriend,” “As Long as You Love Me” (featuring Big Sean), and “Beauty and a Beat” (featuring Nicki Minaj). Believe Acoustic, a sequel to My Worlds Acoustic, followed in 2013. Late that year, Bieber released the first in a weekly series of singles. Nearly all of them charted, led by Top 40 showings for “All Around the World” (featuring Ludacris) and “Heartbreaker.”
Those songs, as well as others, were compiled for release as Journals, a digital download-only album that wasn’t submitted for sales tracking, so it did not appear on the Billboard 200. Only two days later, on December 25, the documentary Justin Bieber’s Believe was released to theaters. A collaboration with Cody Simpson, “Home to Mama,” was the lone charting release in 2014, a year in which Bieber made headlines for a series of public indiscretions. In 2015, a remix of “Where Are You Now” appeared on Diplo and Skrillex Present Jack Ü and reached the Top Ten of the Hot 100. Later in the year, “What Do You Mean?,” a track that skillfully latched onto the tropical house subgenre — popularized by the Felix Jaehn remix of OMI’s “Cheerleader” — topped that chart.
It was Bieber’s first number one U.S. single and paved the way for Purpose, his third proper studio album. It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.
He started recording his most highly lauded album yet, ‘Believe’, at the end of 2011 and in 2012 announced on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ that the first single was ‘ Boyfriend ‘. It was his first number one hit in Canada and reached number two in the US and UK on its release. ‘Believe’ itself became a number one in several countries and included collaborations with Darkchild, Hit-Boy, Diplo and Max Martin. He followed it up with his Believe Tour.
In 2013, he released an acoustic version of ‘Believe’ entitled simply ‘ Believe Acoustic’, and later appeared once again on ‘Saturday Night Live’. During his Believe Tour, he collapsed with apparent breathing problems at London’s O2 Arena when he was backstage and was rushed to hospital. Another issue arose in London when he arrived 2 hours late for a concert, leaving parents angry and fans extremely upset.
2013 also saw him appear in a remixed version of Michael Jackson’s unreleased track ‘Slave To The Rhythm’, as well as collaborating with Lil Twist and Miley Cyrus in Twist’s song ‘Twerk’. In October, he began his ‘Music Mondays’ project, releasing a single every week in the run up to his second movie ‘Believe 3D’. ‘Heartbreaker’ was the first track to be released in this series and all ten were announced to feature in a collection called ‘Journals’.
In 2015, Bieber released a new single entitled ‘Where Are Ü Now’ with Jack ü this saw a change in direction in terms of Bieber’s music. In the same year he released his fourth studio album Purpose with the lead single what do you mean? which was his first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber is the youngest male artist to debut at the top of the chart earning him a Guinness World record. A further two singles Sorry and Love Yourself were also released from the album and gained the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 meaning that he was the first male artist to have three number one singles from one album in over a decade. Company is Bieber’s fourth single release from this album.
Purpose also debuted at number one in the Billboard 200 and becomes his sixth number one album in the chart.
In 2016, Bieber made a cameo appearance in ‘Zoolander No. 2’.
Teen idol Justin Bieber broke the hearts of many of his young female fans in 2010 when he started dating television actress and singer Selena Gomez. It wasn’t easy for Gomez to be Bieber’s girlfriend, as she was accosted by some of his devoted followers. There were even death threats posted against her on Twitter after the pair was photographed kissing while on a 2011 vacation. The couple ended their relationship in November 2012.

Bieber announced he is single
Just when we thought that the Gomez saga was over, we heard rumors that Bieber is back with Gomez! That made Richie very upset, and she posted that she would rather spend her Valentine’s Day with her pet dog. Poor girl! But the final word on this matter might be from Bieber himself. On his 26th appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bieber opened up about his love life and was candid about it. When asked who was he dating, Bieber replied confidently “I am not dating anybody. Single. I’m not really looking, either.” Bieber also clarified that he was not using dating Apps like Tinder.
So, girls, the good news is that Bieber is single right now. Bieber is busy with his Purpose World Tour 2017 and life on the road does get lonely. I’m always alone…I bring my dog, Esther.” Anybody who wants to join Bieber’s long list of love interests should apply right now. It’s a great time to be young, happy and hang out with Bieber!
